Our Story

Good Harvest began in 2015 with a vision to build a vertically integrated food business that would provide economic growth to resource-poor areas of Central America, while at the same time supplying customers in the US with quality products and excellent service.

The company anchored its agriculture operations in Nicaragua, the 2nd poorest nation in the Western Hemisphere, but a country rich in culture and with ample farming lands. With no shortage of challenges, Good Harvest has made intentional investments and a commitment to help provide employment opportunities in Nicaragua. Many families in Nicaragua are desperate for steady jobs with reliable income, and are often faced with an agonizing decision to leave their country when these opportunities aren’t available. Good Harvest has humbly sought to provide stability for these families.

In 2016, the company imported its first wholesale shipment of yuca, or cassava, to the US. Since then, Good Harvest has expanded its product offerings to US customers to include many other traditional Latin foods, including Plantains (Tostones and Maduros), Pineapple, and Mango.

The company has also expanded its growing and processing investments and partnerships to other Latin American countries in addition to Nicaragua, and now supplies products to the US market from Costa Rica and Guatemala, among others.

In 2019, Good Harvest recognized a lack of Organically grown and processed Yuca in the market, along with a growing trend among consumers in the US demanding Organic Yuca.

Soon after, the company made it a priority to bring USDA Certified Organic Yuca to the US market, as well as to prioritize awareness and education in Central America for organically grown and processed foods, and regenerative farming practices. Although primarily a wholesale provider, Good Harvest has started providing certain high demand products that have minimal market availability, such as Organic Yuca, directly to end consumers.

We look forward to continued growth for the benefit of those in resource-poor areas, as well as to our partners, wholesale customers, and consumers in the US.
